EDEN, N.Y. -- Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kam, Eden, N.Y., are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Renee Marie, to Chase Canfield, the son of Gay Canfield, Bellevue, and the late Robert Canfield.
The bride-elect is a magna cum laude graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where she received a bachelor of science degree in health and physical education. She earned a master of arts degree in sport management from The Ohio State University. She is employed as a fundraising events and public relations coordinator for A Kid Again, an Ohio-based non-profit organization.
Her fiancé graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and history. He also received his juris doctorate from the University of Toledo School of Law. He is employed as the human resources director for the Ohio Department of Commerce.
The couple plan to marry in a Sept. 26, 2009, ceremony to be celebrated in Columbus.
