SANDUSKY Ñ A collaboration between Terra and the State Theater, ÒTERRA @ the STATE!" will feature several major concerts and presentations there during the 2008-2009 season, including the hilarious summer musical, ÒGilligan's Island." The show features a unique spin on America's most beloved TV sitcom. ÒGilligan's Island" is a professionally produced show by the State Theatre with assistance from Terra's Music and Performing Arts students and faculty and stars some local talent as well. Terra's theater and humanities professor, Ron Abbott, plays the knowledgeable Professor, Cindy Bilby (Fremont) plays the Hollywood movie Star Ginger, and Tamara Damschroder (Fremont) plays the rich Mrs. Howell. The cast also stars Pamela Shirtz (Sandusky) as the all-American girl Mary Ann, Toby Whinnery (Sandusky) as the fearless Skipper, Frank Swinehart (Sandusky) as the honorable Mr. Howell, and everyone's favorite little buddy, Gilligan, is played by Mike Majer (Vermilion). 'Gilligan's Island' sails to State Theare

FREMONT -- This summer has been a busy one for Terra Community College's Department of Music and Performing Arts as it has entered into a new partnership with The Sandusky State Theatre. This partnership offers wonderful educational, production, internships, and performance opportunities for the students and community participants in Terra's music and arts programs.

The partnership also brings to the area a new performance series called "Terra @ the State!" A collaboration between Terra and the State Theater, "Terra @ the State!" will feature several major concerts and presentations there during the 2008-2009 season.

Come enjoy the hilarious summer musical, Gilligan's Island. The show features a unique spin on America's most beloved TV sitcom. Gilligan's Island is a professionally produced show by the State Theatre with assistance from Terra's Music and Performing Arts students and faculty and stars some local talent as well.

Gilligan's Island show dates -- Tuesday, July 22, 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, July 23, 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, July 24, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.; Saturday, July 26, 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, July 27, 7:30 p.m.

Gilligan's Island is directed by Thomas T. Kazmierzak III (Sandusky State Theatre), musical director is Michael Shirtz (Terra), and recent Terra Music Technology graduate Eric Hugg serves as the production's sound engineer. Also participating in the pit orchestra are Terra music faculty John Cipiti and Tamara Kagy as well as former Terra music students Keith Barber and Alan Gamble.

Come join Gilligan, the Skipper too, the Millionaire and his wife, the Movie Star, the Professor and Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island.
