Bellevue FFA

Last spring, 20 members of the Bellevue Chapter of the National FFA Organization participated in the Food For America Program. This program was introduced to increase public awareness of agriculture and where our food comes from.

The Bellevue FFA members took animals and agricultural products to the elementary schools in the Bellevue area. They spoke to kindergarten through third grade students. Each FFA member told about their product and answered any questions the kids had.

These are the individuals who brought their animals:

Cody Rine, pig; Heather Carbary, lamb; Melanie Kreglow, goat; Travis Keegan, meat chicken; Laura Miller, egg chicken; Cody Ziegler, dairy calf; Tyler Sanders, beef calf; Erin Englehart, small pony; Courtney Norman, rabbit;

Nicole Steinmetz, cats; Kelsey Shaver, puppy; Tanner Schoen, goose; Cody Klotz, duck; Dustin Branco, guinea; Grant Decker, grain for the animals; Emily Miller, novelty chicken; Janaye Decker, guinea pig; Kraig Jenks, turkey; Tyler Brake, bantam; and Eric Eberhard, market lamb.
