Seamon's Garage grateful for customer loyalty during tough times
As Dan Seamon, owner of Seamon's Garage, W. Center St., Bellevue, was thinking about what he wanted to discuss about his business, it was how grateful he is for his customer loyalty and support.
However, Seamon also is worried about the state of the economy.
"I believe it is finally time to stop peering through rose colored glasses and acting as though the future of Bellevue's independent businesses have a bright future. Because they do not!" said Seamon.
Seamon listed the following businesses that have closed in recent months: Kasper's Chevrolet, Charlie's Carryout, Bellevue Moose Club, Taco Bell, Movie Gallery, Curves, Pamida, Kentucky Fried Chicken, S&S Auto Supply, Progress Plastics, Wick's Bar & Grille, Bolte Realty, Rohm Glass Co. and Armstrong Air.
"We at Seamon's Garage continue to serve our customers and are most grateful to have them," said Seamon. "As we have just completed our 23rd year, it was with deep regret we had to layoff two technicians because of a decline in business."
"We must implore our city fathers to concentrate their efforts to bring jobs to Bellevue. Otherwise, our peril will surely worsen," he continues.
