Best dressed pet contest slated for Winesburg weekend

The 3rd Annual Winesburg Holiday Pet Costume Contest will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Clyde Fire Station in downtown.

Pet owners may begin registering or pick up entry forms for the contest after Oct. 31 at Mary's Pampered Pets, Groomer's Corner or The Clyde Enterprise.

Cost is $2 per pet and registration deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Ribbons will be given for Dogs - small, medium, large and extra large; Cats, all types; and miscellaneous pets - horses, rabbits and others.

There will also be a prize for Best In Show. Rules include animals being on a leash or in a cage. The pet owner must be 18 years or older to enter the contest. Owners are responsible for the actions of their pets and liability.
