Political letters

Deadline for political letters is noon Friday, Oct. 16. The Clyde Enterprise will print no more than five letters endorsing each candidate in a race of local interest in our readership area for the Nov. 3 general election.

The Enterprise will print up to five letters for and five against each ballot issue facing voters in the readership area.

No election letter will be printed after Wednesday, Oct. 21 except as needed for correction or clarification. Election letters to the editor must include the sender's name, address and daytime phone number for verification. The phone number and address will not be printed. Letters that do not include proper contact information will not be considered.

The Enterprise reserves the right to reject without notification any letter on grounds of libel, taste or unsubstantiated criticism. Letters may be edited to make them more concise. Writers may be asked to substantiate claims of fact.

Thank you letters and poetry will not be published.
