Jerry H. Chumley
Jerry H. Chumley, 61, Fremont, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 20, 1947 in New Tazwell, Tenn., the son of H. Huston Chumley and Ella (Kitchen) Chumley-Penn. He married Vivian Roark on Aug. 28, 1965.
He was a 1965 graduate of Clyde High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Clyde. He was a former retail manager for Travel Center of America.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian; a daughter, Gina (Michael) Jones of Fremont; two sons, Timothy Chumley of Warren and Brian (Meranda) Chumley of Fremont; seven grandchildren; and siblings, Jenell (Dan) Craig of Clyde, Dexter (Sally) Chumley of Hartville and Nathan Chumley of Vickery; his stepmother, Joyce Chumley of Port Clinton; and step-siblings; Bruce Penn of Norwalk, Danny Penn of Lindsay, Randy Byrd of Port Clinton, Danny Byrd of Port Clinton, Christine Byrd of Port Clinton and Diane Dugan of Port Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 30, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
