John N. Lovric
John Nicholas Lovric, 83, Fremont, formerly of Green Springs, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008 at the Genoa Care Center.
He was born March 13, 1925 in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of John and Mary (Bakaric) Lovric. He married Mildred Clark on Dec. 19, 1963.
He attended All Saints School in Buffalo and then joined the Navy during World War II. He received his GED from the Clyde High School in 2001. He and his wife, Mildred, owned and operated a restaurant for 18 years, and he had worked in the civil service for a number of years. He was the Past Commander of the Green Springs VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; a daughter, Diane O' Brien of Houston, Texas; a son, John (Ann) Lovric, Jr. of Cypress, Texas; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Yomnick of Cleveland and Barbara Jean Waite of Corfu, N.Y.; and a brother, William Lovric of Remsen, N.Y.
Visitation will be held two and a half hours prior to funeral services on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 7:30 p.m., at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St. with Rev. Don Mueller officiating. Green Springs VFW will hold a service at 7:20 p.m. Burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Buffalo, N.Y., at a later date.
