Berdella A. Grimes

Berdella Ann Grimes, 72 years, of East Grant Steet, Clyde, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at St. Francis Health Care Centre in Green Springs, following a lengthy illness.

She was born July 2, 1936 in Mansfield, the daughter of Bill Harrington and Bertha Stockdale Harrington. She married Myron J. Grimes and he preceded her in death October 29, 2003.

Berdella was a homemaker and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.

Survivors include her three sons, Gary A. (Sandy) Hartzel of Put-In-Bay, Jodie A. (Michele) Grimes of Sandusky, and Rod E. (Jennifer) Grimes of Clyde; two grandchildren, Jennifer Grimes-Mulvin and Chad (Patricia) Grimes; five great-grandchildren, Bryana Mulvin, Evie Mulvin, Matthew Mulvin, Jaylynn Grimes, and Natalia Grimes; and three sisters, Deloris Jenkins and Gladyne Musser of Morristown, TN, and Joan Ohler of Republic.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Donald Hatfield.

There will be no calling hours and the funeral service will be private.
