Iris A. Skilliter

Iris A. Skilliter, 63, Clyde, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008 at the Bethesda Care Center in Fremont.

She was born June 5, 1945 in Toledo, the daughter of Fred and Hazel (Knisely) Condon. She married Willis Skilliter on Oct. 4, 1969 and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2003.

She graduated from Clyde High School in 1963 and had been employed by the City of Clyde as a Clyde schools crossing guard from 1975 until her retirement on Sept. 8, 2000. She was a Campfire Leader and a volunteer for the Buckeye Council.

Survivors include two daughters, Theresa (Jeff) Herman of Gibsonburg and Brenda (Greg) Fisher of Clyde; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia (Don) Beebe of Tiffin and Winona Condon of Lindsey; and two brothers, Walter Condon of Fremont and Myron Condon of Clyde.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Willis.

Visitation was Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St.

Funeral services will be (today) Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
