Document: Blood found in Ohio home

LEBANON, Ohio (AP) -- A search warrant shows blood stains were found in the southwest Ohio home of a man accused in the bathtub-drowning death of his wife.

The document unsealed Thursday indicates a blood stain found on the carpet under 24-year-old Sarah Widmer's head and a blood smear on her vagina.

Twenty-seven-year-old Ryan Widmer called 911 on Aug. 11 to report he found his wife in the their bathtub. He said she had a habit of falling asleep in the tub and elsewhere. He has pleaded not guilty to a charge of aggravated murder.

Warren County prosecutors have said Sarah Widmer drowned in the bathtub, but that an autopsy showed signs of a violent struggle. They wouldn't comment on the evidence taken from the home.

Court documents show police seized the tub and other items from the home.
