Kahler, Skeel exchange vows
Tricia Lynn Kahler, Clyde, exchanged vows in an afternoon wedding at St. Mary's Catholic Church with her groom, David Patrick Skeel, also of Clyde.
Father Dennis Schroeder officiated over the ceremony and Starline Meyer play the organ. Heather Gerber was the soloist.
The bride is the daughter of Michele and Lonnie Kahler, 149 W. Thomson Drive, and the groom is the son of Donna and Jim West of 82 Ohio 101 North and Bryon Skeel, 110 W. Euclid St., Green Springs.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless, white Oleg Cassini designer gown. The satin gown was covered in a pearl-beaded metallic embroidery design. The dress had a sash belt with a crystal broad as well as a chapel train. The bride wore a two-tier, elbow-length veil with a crystal embellished floral motif.
Amanda Giebel of Clyde, friend of the bride, served as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Lindsay Sutter, Gibsonburg, friend of the bride; Bethany Rutherford, Green Springs, friend of the bride; Jenna Leichty, Green Springs, friend of the bride; and Aimee Skeel, Clyde, sister of the groom. Angel and Ashley Skeel, Clyde, the groom's twin nieces serves as flower girls.
The attendants wore watermelon colored dresses, each in a unique, differing design - yet all long in length. The bridesmaids carried a floral arrangement of bright pink and white roses with star-gaze lilies and hydrangeas.
The groom was attended by his three Best Men. Serving as Best Man were Justin Sutter, Gibsonburg, friend of the groom; Chris Skeel, Green Springs; brother of the groom; and Craig West, Clyde, stepbrother of the groom. Other groomsmen were Scott Kahler, Clyde, brother of the bride, and Dave Townsend, Bellevue, friend of the groom.
The ring bearer was Aaron Narance, Galion, cousin of the bride.
A reception followed the wedding at Crystal Arbors Catering at 5:30 p.m. with 300 guests attending.
The wedding party held a rehearsal dinner on Friday, July 10 at the home of Donna and Jim West, which was hosted by the groom's mother and stepfather.
The coupe planned a honeymoon trip to Sandals Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They now reside at 1830 CR 212, Fremont.
The bride has received a bachelor's degree from Tiffin University in Marketing and now is a business sales representative for ADT Security services.
The groom is a graduate of Clyde High School and is employed by Anstead Construction.
Prior to the wedding on June 13, the maid of honor, Amanda Giebel, held a Luau bridal show at the Clyde Municipal Building.
