Cousins killed in area crash

VICKERY - Two men died killed Friday night following a one-vehicle accident at 10:49 p.m. On U.S. 6 near CR 250, according to the Fremont Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.

The vehicle's driver, Thomas Held, 82, Vickery, and his passenger, cousin, Richard Held, 81, California, both died at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Toledo.

Thomas Held was driving a 2005 Lincoln Navigator westbound on Ohio 6 when he failed to make the curve to the left east of CR 250. His vehicle hit the guardrail and then a tree, according to the OSP report.

Both men were taken by LifeFlight to St. Vincent's following the accident.
