The Firelands Regional Medical Center is constructing an new dialysis center on The Bellevue Hospital campus on U.S. 20 east of Clyde. (Submitted photograph) Mondo Turf staff roll down the first line of the new Clyde Fliers artificial turf field on Tuesday morning at Bishop Stadium. Last week Clyde High School athletic director Bob Bishop reported the company assured him the turf could be in place within 10 days from the start of their work. Workers with the artificial turf company arrived Monday morning to prep the field and began turf installation today. Locally, the athletic department, contractors and volunteers have had the field ready and waiting for turf nearly a month. The Fliers'Ð first home game will be Friday, Aug. 22. On July 30, the South Main School third and fourth grade students who had passed all of their State Achievement Tests were treated to a swimming party at the Clyde Aquatic Center.  Eighty-seven students qualified. Sixty were able to attend the party. The South Main Boosters provided pizza for everyone after the swim party.
