School board OKs staff, coaching contracts

The Clyde-Green Springs Exempted Village Board of Education granted contracts for teachers and other staff at its July 28 school board meeting.
The board approved a one-year contract for Lori Wilken, an 8th grade language arts teacher at McPherson Middle School for 2008-09; a one-year contract for Chrisitie Webb as an education aide at Green Springs School; an as-needed agreement with Irene Jennings as an LD tutor at St. Mary's Elementary School; a one-year limited contract with Karen Meyer for clerical services at St. Mary's.
The board also approved a three-year limited contract with Jordan Hasselbach as the district technology director at a salary of $37,000 and employed Owen Fritz at $15 per hour as a temporary technology assistant.
The board granted a three-year contract to Vicky Nieset as the school district food services director for 255 days in the coming school year.
Members also accepted the resignation of sign language interpreter Paula Young.
The board voted to employ the following staff members for extra duty jobs during the 2008-09 school year. Salaries will be determined upon completion of negotiations with the Clyde-Green Springs Education Association.
