MMS volleyball's record 9-1

The McPherson Middle School 7th grade volleyball team upped its record to 9-1.

On Sept. 23 at Port Clinton, the Lady Fliers defeated the Redskins in three games with scores of 25-15, 24-26 and 25-14. Leading scorers were Chelsea Zerman with 9 points and Breanne Michaels, Amanda Cahill and Victoria Rawson with 6 points each.

On Sept. 25, the girls defeated Huron in two games, 25-14 25-21. High scorers were Cahill 9 points and Alexis Webber, 6.

On Sept. 30, MMS played Margaretta in Castalia. The girls defeated Margaretta in three games, 25-10, 22-25, 25-16. High scorers were Hannah Wadsworth 12, Cahill 7, and Megan Albright 4.

The local girls went on to defeat St. Mary's on Oct. 2, the Panthers 25-14, 22-25, 25-11.
