Fliers golf wins over Calvert at tri-meet

The Fliers golf team split a tri-meet with St. Joseph Central Catholic and Tiffin Calvert on Sept. 17 at Green Hills Golf Course. SJCC won the tri-meet with a 155 while the Fliers shot a 167 and Calvert shot a 181. Aaron Missler led the Fliers with a 40.

Isaac DelGarbino and Tyler Clouse each shot a 42, Josh Driscoll shot a 43, James Green shot a 53 and Zach Blodgett shot a 57. With the loss the Fliers fall to 4-9. SJCC goes to 7-2 and Calvert falls to 7-8.

The Fliers golf team traveled to Heatherdowns Golf Club in Toledo on Sept. 25 for the Division II Sectional Tournament. As a team, the Fliers didn't advance to the district tournament.

Isaac DelGarbino did advance as an individual golfer after shooting a 79.

DelGarbino will travel to the Division II District Tournament at Sycamore Springs Golf Course in Arlington on Thursday, Oct. 2.

As a team the Fliers shot a 357, which was good for seventh place. Only the top four teams advance and they were Rossford, Lake, Genoa and Eastwood.

In addition to DelGarbino, Tyler Clouse shot an 89, Aaron Missler a 92 and James Green a 94.
