Hansen and Jones exchange vows
Lindsay Rae Hansen and Luke Allen Jones were joyously united in marriage on July 19,2008 at First Baptist Church in Danviille, IN. Pastor Ron McDugle officiated. A dessert reception was held at the church immediately following the ceremony.
The bride wore a white satin, halter-top gown with a pool-colored accent ribbon that tied in the back. She carried a bouquet of white, pool, and purple flowers, arranged by her grandmother, Mary Lou Hansen. The bridesmaids wore knee-length, pool-colored dresses and carried smaller bouquets similar to the bride's. The groom wore a brown suit with a white collared shirt, and groomsmen wore brown suit pants with light pool-colored collared shirts. The groom and groomsmen wore matching ties consisting of brown, pool, and white stripes. Boutonnieres were made of a single white rose and pool accenting.
Maid of honor was Paula Orshoski (best friend of the bride) and best man was Mark Svendsen (best friend of the groom). Bridesmaids included Chrissy O'Neal (friend of the bride), Aliya Beavers (friend of the bride), and Emily Gore (sister of the groom). Groomsmen included Chris Gregory (friend of the groom), Dan Smith (friend of the groom) and Brock Hansen (brother of the bride.) Parents of the bride are Paul and Robin Hansen of Graytown, Ohio. Parents of the groom are Rick Jones of Danville, IN and Pamela Deckard of Brownsburg, IN.
The couple honeymooned in Hocking Hills State Park, where they enjoyed biking, hiking, zip-lining through the forest, and exploring the sites. On September 6, 2008, Luke and Lindsay celebrated their marriage with family and friends in northwest Ohio during a backyard barbeque at the bride's parents' home. The couple now resides in Columbus, IN, where Luke works as a mechanical engineer for Cummins, Inc. and Lindsay works as an academic advisor for Indiana University-Purdue University @ Columbus (IUPUC).
