Carroll-n-Company 4-H Club and Katelyn Apple thank all of the wonderful people that came out and bought BBQ dinners. Close to 1,000 dinners were served at both locations of the Commodore Perry Federal Union. What was so up-lifting to all of us helping was the stories that were shared and the care and concern that each individual showed that day. People can say all they want about "small towns", but the support, love and compassion that was shown last week makes us proud to say we live in one of them! A special thank you to both the Oak Harbor and Port Clinton Commodore Perry Federal Credit Unions for offering such a great community service, BBQ Traveler for running for more chicken all day, all area newspapers that promoted the event, and the friends and family of Katelyn who helped served the meals.
