Dear Editor,

The 2009 Ottawa County Junior Fair Livestock Sale is history. We want to take this opportunity to send a thank you to our community for their support. We sold 450 animals and our generous Buyers spent $188,269.94. These dollars, minus some sale expenses, go right into the hands of our hard working Exhibitors. These young men and women spend countless hours feeding, cleaning, training and learning about their animals and the real cost of doing business and raising safe, wholesome food. What a great lesson for them. The support they have received from their families, friends, and community is wonderful.

As a housekeeping note, DIMECH SERVICES, INC. was inadvertently left off the list of buyers of ALYSHA HARRISON'S CHAMPION CARCASS LAMB in our post fair thank you. We apologize.
