Smooth Harmony and Fire on the Water downtown Port Clinton
On Friday, August 15, 2008 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., InChant, a contemporary collegiate a cappella vocal ensemble based at The Ohio State University at Marion,Ohio, will perform their unique vocal twist on songs from the 60's through today.
The group uses everything at their disposal to create dynamic, energetic sound. Members of InChant consist of nine Ohio State University students and alumni who possess special vocal talent.
"The group is dedicated to the pursuit of blending the best voices to create a smooth harmonic sound that resonates with audiences." Says Wayne Rowe, Manager of Communications and Marketing. InChant is available for hire to perform throughout Ohio and the Midwest, performing at concert halls, high schools, colleges, universities, churches, festivals and community events.
The group will have their cd "In Rhythm & Time" available at their performance.
On Saturday, August 16, 2008, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., River Front Live! welcomes to the volunteer performing family, Freshfire, The Chapel on the Lake Worship Team from Marblehead, Ohio.
The team has been playing and singing together for four years, mixing together traditional hymns and chorus with contemporary Christian music, they are lead by the energetic Australian, Mat James. Mat on guitar and Victoria Perterson on conga drums.
Mary Hall and Jessica Mahler are the back-up singers, Christi Soski on keyboard and Abby Might on drums.
"Freshfire brings us incredibly joyful music with a message." Says Mary Gordon of the group.
