Moon Dog, Kepler & karaoke

On Friday, August 8, 2008 from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. Jerry "Moon Dog" Vess is hosting the first ever Karaoke Night for the River Front Live! program with fellow volunteer musician Brad Kepler. Brad of Pirate Radio and also known as the Electric Balladeer, is from Fremont, Ohio. Both Jerry and Brad are very familiar performers to the program and are always ready to entertain the very appreciative audiences of Port Clinton.

On Saturday, August 9, 2008 from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M., welcome back Brad Kepler, formerly of Brad Kepler's Privateers. You've heard of the Rhinestone Cowboy? Well, introducing our local version, Brad Kepler the Electric Balladeer! "Using guitar and banjo, this oversized folk singer brings back a quiet night of songs on the front porch or around the campfire. With songs, cowboy poetry and home spun humor." Says Brad.

River Front Live! is an all volunteer musical program sponsored by the Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and Neidecker-LeVeck and Crosser Funeral Home, showcasing a variety of local talent and open to enthusiastic performers from other locations. The program was created to bring attention to the downtown historic river front district, including the opportunity of parking in our convenient and secure city parking lot, located at the north end of Jefferson Street. The municipal parking lot affords you complete access to beautiful river front and lake front vistas. Experience the high "walk-ability" rating of our historic river front district.

As a turn-of-the-century Lake Erie fishing village that hasn't changed very much over the years, some people are not aware of the quaint shops and excellent services in downtown Port Clinton. Join our year round residents, our summertime residents and visitors at the river front location on North Madison Street at the Stensen Memorial Plaza, next to the historic Port Clinton Fish Company, weather permitting. Pick up a snack-to-go from the closely located restaurants and bring your own chairs to enjoy the view and the good family oriented music.
