Soothing sounds ends musical season
On Friday, August 22, 2008, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., at the Stensen Memorial Plaza on North Madison Street, next to the historic Port Clinton Fish Company, weather permitting, please welcome Karen Svanoe Westgate, professional harpist and her friends from the Terra College Harp Ensemble at their second performance of the season for River Front Live!
Members of the ensemble are Dawn Kerlin and Sandy Corfman both from Fremont, Ohio and Joanne Phillips from Huron, Ohio.
Karen performs extensively on the harp for wedding, funerals, banquets and open houses.
Ms. Westgate has made seven harp recordings and distributes them internationally through her company, Harpgate Productions. Her harp music has been featured on both radio and television.
"I love to play the harp. The Lord has given me a wonderful talent that I want to share." Says Karen of her music.

On Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., a very popular local musician returns to the stage on the water front.
Bob Lawitzke born in Port Clinton is a solo act playing acoustic guitar, harmonica and singing songs that range from the Eagles to Jimmy Buffet.
Bob a songwriter and a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International, has recorded his original songs in Nashville and has four of his songs under contract with Brainchild Music Publishing Company in Nashville.
"I can't think of anything that I enjoy more and I always meet a lot of nice people." Bob says of his performing.
