Original music performed on the River Front downtown

On Friday, July 17, 2009 from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M., We are very happy to herald the return of Yorkti Conformity pronounced "york-tie" to River Front Live! the waterfront concert series in downtown Port Clinton. They are an Acoustic/ Folk Rock/Country group from Toledo, Ohio who has volunteered their time and talent again this year. The group consists of Matthew Patrick at vocals, playing guitar and banjo. Brady Helminiak plays percussion and the Didgeridoo. New to the group is Chris McCnaugy playing bass.

They have performed at area coffee houses and competed in Toledo's Battle of the Acoustic Acts at the Bronze Boar. "Our band has a stand-alone acoustic groove, folk music with a twist." Says Patrick.

On Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M., Jerry Vess, one of the most generous volunteers of his time and talent, will be performing as a one man show. Jerry, a very talented singer and guitar player will perform classics and original music.

"I love to play my guitar and sing at the new location. The new pavilion creates some great acoustic sound, it's a really nice place to relax and enjoy the river." Says Jerry.

River Front Live! Outdoor Summer Music Program is an all volunteer musical program sponsored by the Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and Neidecker-LeVeck and Crosser Funeral Home, showcasing a variety of local talent.

The program was created to bring attention to the downtown historic river front district, including the opportunity of parking in our convenient and secure city parking lot. The municipal parking lot affords you complete access to beautiful river front and lake front vistas.

Experience the high "walk-ability" rating of our historic river front district. Join our year round residents, our summertime residents and visitors at the river front location on at the new North Jefferson Street Pier Pavilion., weather permitting. Eat dinner or pick up a snack-to-go from the closely located restaurants and bring your own chairs to enjoy the view and the good family oriented music.

If interested in volunteering as a performer [easy-listening only] or as a River Front Live! Representative, who is present during performances, names are being taken for next year's schedule by calling 419.734.2397. Co-organizers are Mary Gordon and Kathy Jo Schweitzer.
