Oak Harbor 2008 football

With a new head coach the 2008 Oak Harbor football team is prepared for the season ahead. Mike May, the new head coach, is eager to make this season a success. "We want to keep most of the basics intact to make the transition smooth," said May.

The seven seniors look to lead the young team. "Our seniors have good leadership and are setting a good example," said May.

In the coaches pre-season meeting, Oak Harbor was voted to get third in the league. May believes they can do better than that, but it will take some work. The team has only two starters returning on offense and three returning starters on defense.

Two strong players looking to help on offense are quarterback Brad Perry and offensive running back Dustin Hernandez.

With a dedicated new coach and leadership among the senior players, the Oak Harbor Rockets football team could have a season to excite everyone.
