LaFountain state bound

Lady Rocket freshman tennis player Ashley LaFountain won three of her four matches to earn the right to play in the 2009 Ohio State Tennis Championships on Friday October 23 in Columbus.

In her first match she ousted Hannah Saleh of Rossford, 6-0, 6-3. In her second match she defeated Brooke Trine of Ontario, 6-3, 6-1. In her third match in the semi finals Ashley lost to Drew Fillis of Ottawa Hills, 1-6, 5-7.

Bouncing back in her consolation match she beat Meredith McDonough of Bryan 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 to finish third place in the district tournament.
