Big second half propels boys soccer team

The Rocket boy's soccer team used a 7 goal second half to overcome the Clyde Fliers on the Rocket home turf, 9-0, on Tuesday October 13.

Nine different Rockets got in the scorebook. Goals were scored by Tyler Eoff, Jesse Baker, Cadan Goldstein, Jake Hetrick, Anthony Hopkins, Trent Lacer, Alex Reif, Alex Swope, and Brandon Wasserman.

Hat trick assists by Phil Weirich and Tyler Eoff were turned in, Ian Miller contributing 2.

Scott Hites and Trent Lacer split time in the net to preserve the shutout.

The Rockets finish the SBC season at 9-3-1 and win their 11 match overall in 15 matches.

Rockets stop Streaks

In the final regular season match at home the Rocket boys soccer team defeated Fremont St Joseph, 14-1 on Thursday October 15.

Seven goals in each half led to the Rocket victory.

Alex Swope scored 3 goals and Phil Weirich added 2 goals. Single goals were scored by Phil Bryant, Tyler Eoff, Jake Hetrick, Isaac Puckett, JJ Rathburn, Alex Reif, Drew Stone, Brandon Wasserman, and Alex Wilhelm.

Brandon Wasserman and Phil Weirich also had 3 assists each.

Trent Lacer had 2 saves during his goal keeping duties.

The Rockets finish the regular season at 12-3-1 with tournament play starting this week.
