Football under new leadership

By Rachel Smith

Staff Reporter

New head football coach, Mike May, comes with experience behind him. May played football for division III Defiance College. After graduation he was the head coach at St. Mary's Memorial, south of Lima, for eight years.

May has keep assistant coaches Doug Slegel and Terry Harsha while adding new coaches Keith Wrecker and Adam Hartley. Coach May plans to keep things close to the same for the players but isn't afraid to make some changes. "We will have to tweak things from year to year," said May.

May has moved to Oak Harbor with his wife and two children. In addition to coaching, May is teaching history at the high school.

This looks to be a good match for the school and May. With a new dedicated teacher and coach on staff, Oak Harbor schools can only reap the benefits.
