Community Market partners with "Food for All"

Community Markets is partnering with "Food For All" to run a holiday season point-of-purchase fundraiser from Sunday, Nov. 1 through January 3, 2010. The fundraiser features boards stocked with $1, $3 and $5 donation coupons at each checkout stand. Customers donate simply by selecting a coupon in the desired denomination and handling to the cashier to be scanned.

The donation amount appears on the final bill and is tax - deductible. Community Markets has selected local food banks to be the beneficiaries of the Food For All fundraiser this season. Funds will be distributed to the charity upon conclusion of the program in early 2010.

"Our local charities need our help now more than ever. 'The Food For All' fundraiser is a great way to get our customers involved and to make a difference in our communities," says Eric Anderson, CEO. "With a little effort we can produce real results for those in need."

Your Community Market is part of a small group of family-owned grocery stores including Community Markets, Great Scot Community Markets, Fulmer Community Markets and Sack 'N Save Supermarkets, located in Ohio and eastern Indiana, that may vary in location and size, but all have one thing in common; our emphasis on service and the local community set our stores apart from our competition.

"Food For All" is a non-profit, charitable marketing organization that runs point-of-purchase fundraisers in over 6,000 retail locations nationwide. Proceeds from these fundraisers are allocated to hundreds of anti-hunger organizations and non-profits around the country. Since the organization's inception in 1985, Food For All has raised over $61 million to fight hunger in America and abroad.
