FCHC hosts diabetes health fair, walk

In commemoration of World Diabetes Day on Saturday, Nov. 14 and National Diabetes Month in November, the Fulton County Health Center (FCHC) Diabetes Education office will be hosting a diabetes health fair and walk on Friday, Nov. 13. From 8 to 10 a.m., staff will be inside Crossroads Evangelical Church on W. Leggett St., rain or shine.

From 1 to 4 p.m., the educators will be in the Beck meeting room at the Fulton County Health Center. Activities will include free blood sugar checks, free blood pressure checks, A1C tests for $10 and a wealth of information about diabetes and prevention.

If you participate, your name will be entered to win a diabetes basket full of goodies. This awareness raising event is being held to promote diabetes education and prevention. For more information, please call the Diabetes Education office at (419) 330-2772.
