Two individuals sentenced
Two individuals were sentenced on Oct. 9, 2009 in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court, according to Fulton County Prosecutor, Scott A. Haselman.
Steven Moden Jr., 31, Napoleon, pleaded guilty to grand theft of a motor vehicle. On July, 27, 2009, he stole a van from the Wood Trucking parking lot, SH 108, Wauseon.
Judge James E. Barber sentenced Moden to prison for 12 months, which is to be served concurrently with an unrelated sentence imposed in Henry County.
Alexander Deemer, 20, Adrian, Mich., was found guilty and convicted of attempted failure to comply with order or signal of police officer. On Aug. 7, 2009, Deemer attempted to elude police officers. Judge Barber sentenced Deemer to two years of community control and ordered that he serve 60 days in CCNO, with credit for 60 days already served, stay out of bars and taverns, not to possess or consume alcohol, seek and maintain employment, abide by his probationary contract in Michigan and have his driver's license suspended for three years.
Failure to abide could result in Deemer spending 17 months in prison.
