Fulton County has some beautiful scenery and the local farmland make a big part of that beauty. Farmers, however, are looking for some rain for their crops and should see some relief later this week as rain is possible Thursday and Friday. (Photo by Dan Ross) Brenda and Rick Parren and their son, Josh, receive the keys to their new home from Bob Nafziger, right, vice president of the Habitat for Humanity of Fulton County. The Parrens, who moved to Wauseon in 1999, were living in the Blair House when it was destroyed by fire several years later. As a result the family lost all of their possessions. Their new home in Wauseon is the first built by the newly chartered Fulton County Habitat chapter. (Photo by Bob Krumm) Sprinkler system near completion
In the past two years 20,000 feet of pipe, almost four miles, has been installed at Dorothy B. Biddle Park for the sprinkler system. Contractors report they should complete installation sometime next week and begin testing the sprinkler system. Foreman Anthony Smith, Justin Straub and Mike Smallman were making the final hook-up on Tuesday to a 15-h.p. booster pump. Smith said this was the largest booster pump he ever installed for his company, McClurg Creamer. Except for one parking lot, all the lighting for the 75-acre complex has also been installed and will be tested soon. Concrete pads for dugouts and bleacher stands were poured earlier this summer.
