Rules governing letters to the editor
We encourage letters for publication on the Opinion Page of the Expositor. Deadline for the following week's Tuesday edition is Friday at noon. Letters should pertain to subjects of local interest. They must be signed and contain a daytime phone number for verification purposes. Anonymous letters are never published. Letters are limited to 300 words. We ask that your letter to typed (if possible) and double spaced. We reserve the right to reject or edit any letter.
Letters representing an organization or group will appear with only one author's name.
Letters pertaining to election issues will be printed up to two weeks prior to the election day. No letters will be printed the week prior to an election, except those in rebuttal of a previous letter. Only one letter per writer on an issue will be published. Letters about candidates are not published.
Email your letter to exponews@brownpublishing.com.
