Jeffrey Lynn Rashley

Jeffrey Lynn Rashley, 58, of Fayette passed from our lives on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center after a year and a half of fighting esophageal cancer. Jeff was born in Wauseon on Jan. 17, 1950, the son of Joan (Henricks) Coressel and the late Clifford Rashley. On Nov. 7, 1970, he married Helen Rae Merillat, and she survives.

Jeff worked for R&S Lines until starting his own dump truck service.

He graduated from Wauseon High School in 1968. He served in the Army National Guard for six years. He was a member of the Wauseon American Legion for 37 years, and a member of the Wauseon Elks for 29 years.

Jeff is also survived by three daughters, Kriss (Curt) Phillips of Fayette, Kalynn (Rick) Schneider of Columbus and Jenny Rashley of Wauseon; eight grandkids, Kody Rashley and MaKayla, Harley and Sonny Phillips, all of Fayette, and Nate, Zach, Mitch and Gabbie Schneider of Columbus; his mother, Joan Coressel of Coldwater, Mich.; his step-mother, Pat Rashley of Wauseon; his mother-in-law, Nellie Merillat of Archbold; four brothers, Tom (Bonnie) Rashley of Manitou Beach, Mich., Kevin (Bonnie Meyer) Rashley and Scott Coressel, both of Cottonwood Ariz., and Todd Coressel of Paulding; and three sisters, Susan (Lowell) Barbee of Bryan, Deb (Pete) Villalovos of Wauseon and Beth (Macy) Tschappat of Portage.

Jeff enjoyed sharing his life with his loving wife, daughters and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Rashley, step-father, Bill Coressel and father-in-law, Ray Merillat.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Oasis Christian Fellowship in Wauseon, with Pastor Louie Weber officiating.

Friends may call from 2-8 p. m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties or Oasis Christian Fellowship.
