Young Frontiers showed animals, had fun
DELTA - Four members of the Young Frontiers 4-H Club placed at the rabbit and goat shows at the 151st Fulton County Fair.
Kyle Brackman received third place for his New Zealand doe and fifth for his New Zealand buck at the rabbit show.
Joshua Smith received fifth place in showmanship (14-15 year olds) for goats. He also received fourth place for his three year old milker and first place for his first year pack goats.
Jesse Smith received third place in showmanship (10-11 year olds) for goats. He also received third place for wet yearling, third place for three years and older milker, fifth place for senior doe, fourth place for dam/daughter and first place for second year pack goats.
Kelly Barber II placed third in showmanship (14-15 year olds) for goats. He received fourth place for senior doe kid, third place for dairy market goat, first place for two year old goat milker and second place for dam/daughter.
The three goat members also showed in the open goat show at the fair. Joshua Smith received fourth place for Alpine dam/daughter and first place for alpine senior doe kid.
Jesse Smith received second place for yearling Alpine milker, second place for three year old and older alpine, fifth place for Alpine dam/daughter and second place for Alpine senior doe kid.
Barber received third place for Alpine dam/daughter, first place for Alpine two year old milker and Reserve Champion for senior Alpine.
Showing rabbits and goats does not end with the conclusion of the fair like market animals, which are sold. Youth and open shows are offered throughout the state.
