The Ohio high school football regular season comes to an end this Friday and one county team appears to have spot in week 11 sewn up.

The Archbold Blue Streaks currently sit in third place in Region 18 of Division V. They are one of three Northwest Ohio Athletic League teams that sit in the top six of the region after week 9. The top eight in each region qualify for the playoffs.

The Blue Streaks have 15.7833 points through nine weeks. Patrick Henry is in first place in the region with 18.7667, while Liberty Center is sixth with 13.4833.

Archbold and Liberty Center will square off on Friday in a game that would go a long way toward deciding the look of the region heading into the playoffs. If the Tigers win, both teams likely will qualify, but if the Streaks win, Liberty Center could be on the outside looking in.

Also working in the Blue Streaks favor is that Ayersville and Fairview, two teams Archbold beat this season, play each other this Friday. So, the Streaks are guaranteed second level computer points from that contest.

With an Archbold win, they will host a first round playoff game. A loss and they will have to travel, possibly to Sherwood for a rematch with Fairview.

In Division IV, Region 14, Wauseon still may have a chance to sneak into the playoffs if they can upset Patrick Henry. They are currently 14th with 7.3500 points, while eight place belongs to Bellville Clear Fork with 10.6833 points.

Fostoria leads the region with 20.6616 points. Evergreen is 19th with 3.9389, Swanton is 25th with 1.4444 and Delta is 28th with 0.5556.
