Avery's Cafe to hold benefit for
American Cancer Society Oct. 17
Avery's Cafe, 306 W. Main St., Marblehead, will hold a benefit for the American Cancer Society from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The benefit is in remembrance of Kathryn Cobbledick, who died in August of cancer, and in support of family member Denny Wyler.
Twenty percent of all sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
There will be a special dinner that evening with two seatings. The first one will be at 6 p.m., and the second at 7:30 p.m. The public can bring in their own beer and wine.
The menu will include slow roasted prime rib of beef with au jus for $19.95; horseradish crusted salmon with dill sauce for $19.95; boneless chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto ham and Asiago cheese with a Parmesan cream sauce, $19.95; perch dinner for $19.95; or perch and prime rib for $22.95. All dinners include a bruschetta appetizer, tossed salad with dressing, potato, vegetable, rolls with butter and a dessert.
