Have you seen 'Maddie'? She was last seen in Lakeside

First of all, my husband and I would like to thank everyone who assisted us in looking for our dog, who ran away during Lakeside's fireworks display last Sunday. Special thanks go to Chuck Gdovicak, who took time out of his Labor Day to take my husband through Lafarge property looking for Maddie, our nine-year old Weimaraner.

Secondly, since we still have not found our dog, I send a special plea to everyone to be looking for Maddie, who might be injured or dead. She is a very gentle soul, but is terrified of loud noises, which led to her escape on Sunday. She has a red collar, Defiance County dog tags, and a red leash. As far as we know, she was last seen running through Lakeside's South Gate and parking lot -- hence the search of the quarry.

If you saw Maddie on Sunday evening after approximately 9 p.m. or if you have any knowledge of her current whereabouts, please contact Lakeside Security or the Danbury Township Police.
