Pleasure to speak at birding symposium

To the editor:

It was my great pleasure to speak at the Midwest Birding Symposium (MBS) held at Lakeside recently.

I enjoyed spending time with the wonderful folks who gathered there. Those in attendance were way beyond nice.

The area is fortunate to have such a marvelous setting for celebrations like MBS.

I spent a few days traveling about and enjoying your part of the country. I have been told that it is not the number of breaths I am given that matters. What matters is what takes my breath away and Ohio did that.

My thanks to everyone associated with the MBS and Lakeside for all the good work they do and for allowing me to spend time in their midst.

I had a swell time.
