Vote will allow board to carry on excellent service to Danbury

Two of our Danbury Township trustees and our fiscal officer will be on the ballot Nov. 3. As the third trustee, I work very closely with Dave Hirt, John Englebeck and Rhonda Botti Sowers. Our duties at the township do not consist of just attending two meetings each month. We spend many hours working on projects, doing follow-up and keeping on top of day-to-day administrative issues.

Our philosophy of strategic planning enables us to offer a multitude of services. These include securing over a half-million dollars in grant funding for our parks, strong investment practices, experienced financial management, providing township cleanup services three times yearly, doubling the size of our recycling facility, maintaining an excellent sports complex, providing superior roads and related winter maintenance, meticulous care of our cemetery, a newly formatted zoning resolution for ease of use, a full-time police department, development of citizen committees to assist in the planning process, and, most recently, planning for a new township administration facility.

Our commitment to transparent communication has led to quarterly newsletters mailed to all township residents, bi-monthly meeting overviews sent to all of the local newspapers and a comprehensive township website that includes up-to-date postings of current notices and activities. Because our board is frugal we have been able to accomplish projects without the need for new tax dollars. We are proud of the successes Danbury Township has experienced and are always available to answer questions and assist with your issues.

I respectfully ask you to vote for Dave and John for trustee and Rhonda for fiscal officer. Your vote will allow the board to carry on the excellent service, outstanding financial management and strong leadership you have come to expect. We will continue to provide you with responsive government while carefully managing your precious tax dollars.
