As a Girl Scout leader she planned and supervised extensive summer experiences for her troop including a trip to Mexico.

She developed and operated a parish visitor program at Ridgewood; hosted an American Field Service foreign exchange student from Belgium for one year; she was Parma's community liaison representative for AFS for several years; a trustee for many years at Lakeside Association; helped develop the Senior Venture programs in Lakeside chairing Senior Venture for 12 years, planning programs, field trips and arranging speakers.

She served on the original committee that planned and developed North Shore Retirement Community and was honored to have one of the streets in the community named after her. She was an avid writer and wrote a column for the Peninsula News for five years.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; her three children; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Geraldine Gregg of Boulder, Colo.
