Annette Reider

Annette Reider, 90, of Port Clinton, passed away Monday, Aug. 17, at H.B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton.

She co-founded Ottawa County's first daily newspaper (The Daily News - the "news" half of the News-Herald), first radio station (WRWR-FM, with a sister station WAWR-FM in Bowling Green named in her honor) and first cable television system (Cablevision Corporation of Ohio). She previously co-published the Ottawa County Exponent for many years.

Survivors include one son, Bob (Barbara) Reider Jr., who formerly worked for the Lakeside Association, of Cape Coral, Fla.

Memorial contributions in memory of Annette may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, the Put-in-Bay Public Library / the Put-in-Bay School Library, or a charity of the donor's choice.
