Sheriff Bratton's return to service
On Aug. 18, after consulting with Dr. Sandy McLean, family physician, Sheriff Bratton was released to return to work on a part-time basis. He will be working several part-time days and attending various meetings. It is anticipated that he will be return to his duties on a full-time basis within two an d one-half weeks. This follows his recent cardiac bypass surgery. He has received a clean bill of health from his cardiac physicians and Dr. McLean. He will continue cardiac rehabilitation at St. Charles Hospital.
Therefore on Tuesday, Aug. 25, he began his part-time days. Director of Administration Deputy Rhonda St. Clair will have his schedule should anyone wish to contact Sheriff Bratton.
Sheriff Bratton is eager to return to his duties serving the citizens of Ottawa County with the staff of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
On Saturday, Aug. 22, Sheriff Bratton participated in his first community parade since his illness -- the Marblehead Perch Festival. This marked his return to community events.
Sheriff Bratton would like to thank everyone who sent cards, letters, or flowers, and those who called or stopped by his residence to check on him. It was greatly appreciated and means a great deal to him.
