Patrol's Trooper Wentworth promoted to sergeant
Trooper Joseph A. Wentworth is the new assistant post commander at the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Sandusky Post following his promotion to the rank of sergeant by Colonel Richard H. Collins, patrol superintendent. Sgt. Wentworth will transfer from the Fremont Post where he has served as a trooper since March 2001.
Sgt. Wentworth began training in September 2000 as a member of the 136th Academy Class. He earned his commission the following March and was assigned to the Fremont Post, where he was recognized by his peers as Post Trooper of the Year in 2004.
Originally of Newton Falls, Sgt. Wentworth resides in Sandusky with his wife, Shelly, and their daughter, Alyssa.
