Laker volleyball team take victories

The Danbury Lakers volleyball team traveled to Monclova to take the 25-21,19-25, 25-14 and 25-16 win on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Natalie Holmes had 11 kills, Meggie Oglesbee seven kills and two points, Christine Longer seven kills, Courtney Cook 26 assists and 14 points, while Hailey Hammersmith had nine points and three digs.

On Thursday, Sept. 3, the Lakers were host to Bettsville, taking another victory. The Lakers won 25-16, 25-10 and 25-8.

Christine Longer had five aces, three kills, one block, five digs and 10 points. Cassandra Warren had four aces and 10 points, Meggie Oglesbee had five kills, three aces and six points while Katie Stecher added 10 points and one ace.
