Sheriff Bratton
undergoes surgery
On Friday, May 29, Sheriff Bratton experienced some health issues. He went to St. Charles Emergency Room where a preliminary evaluation was conducted. Requiring more extensive evaluation, he was then transported to St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center. There it was determined that he would require surgery which was scheduled for Monday, June 1.
Following surgery, Sheriff Bratton will remain at St. Vincent's for approximately one week, following which he will require rehabilitation for a few weeks.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office will be under the direction of Chief Deputy Randy Riedmaier. Under his guidance, the senior administrative staff and the professional deputies of the sheriff's office will continue to provide services to the citizens and visitors of Ottawa County without disruption.
Following Sheriff Bratton's recovery, he will return to his full duties.
