Ohio Agriculture license
plates now available
Ohioans now have the opportunity to show off their support for the state's number one industry and help pave the way for future leaders wherever the road takes them.
With funds generated by sales of the new Ohio Agriculture license plate, scholarships will be awarded to select students studying agriculture or a related field at an Ohio institution of higher learning. Ohio House Bill 293, sponsored by Rep. Bruce Goodwin, R- Defiance, established the plate, which pays homage to the Buckeye State's agricultural heritage and an industry annually providing $93 billion to its economy.
Available now at Bureau of Motor Vehicles locations throughout the state, the plate is $30 more than a standard license plate, with $20 going to the scholarship program.
From assisting in drafting the legislation, gathering required signatures and testifying in its favor, to drawing support from statewide agricultural groups and undertaking its design, the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) led the charge in making the plate a reality.
