Liberty-Benton FFA member Destiny Adams presented her speech entitled "The Silent But Deadly Disease of EPM" as a part of the Farmer's Share Breakfast held at The Lodge at Riverbend Park.
Adams presented her speech in front of an audience of approximately 250 people as a representative from the Hancock-Wyandot FFA sub district. The event was sponsored by the Agribusiness Committee of the Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce on March 19 in celebration of National Agriculture Day.
Adams' speech was about EPM, which is short for Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis. EPM is a severe neurological disease of the central nervous system of horses. The speech previously won both the Hancock-Wyandot FFA Sub District and District Four FFA Public Speaking Contests.
This presentation was a final delivery before competing in the state FFA public speaking competition.
