Liberty-Benton FFA news

Members of the Liberty-Benton FFA Chapter built a two-story playhouse to benefit Special Kids Therapy. The playhouse featured two floors, a double door, windows with shutters, and a porch with railing.

Students in the Applied Science and Engineering class designed, drew plans, developed a bill of materials, and then constructed a custom playhouse as a community service project to benefit the local charity. This class was joined by the Ag Mechanics and AgriScience II classes in final construction of the playhouse during school while other FFA members, parents, and community members worked an average of 11 hours per day over four days of Thanksgiving break to complete the playhouse on schedule.

Members involved beyond the school day where: Destiny Adams, Nick Robinson, Jacob Maag, Megan Montgomery, and Keith Van Horn.

Adults helping out with the project were: Fred Benavides, Toby McKitrick, Mike Montgomery, Art Van Horn, Brian Lee, and Mark Badertscher.

Once the playhouse was completed, it was loaded on a flatbed trailer and delivered to Brinkman's Country Store where it was put on display for a charity raffle.

The Liberty-Benton would like to thank all who helped with the completion of the project as well as sponsors Randy Diehl, CLU from Financial Design Group and Special Kids Therapy of Findlay for making this project possible.
