Engagement announced

Kent and Lynn Poca and Greg and Gennie Gongwer, both residing in Swanton, are proud to announce the engagement of their children Nicole Michelle Poca to Andrew Gregory Gongwer.

Poca is a 1997 graduate of Swanton High School and a 2002 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. She is currently teaching sixth grade math and social studies at Bennett Venture Academy in Toledo. Additionally, she is pursuing her Master's in Classroom Technology at Bowling Green State University.

Gongwer is a 1993 graduate of St John's Jesuit High School. He is currently employed at the Anderson's in Maumee.

They are planning to wed Saturday, Aug. 2 in a ceremony at St. Richard's Catholic Church with a reception at Brandywine Country Club. After a trip to St. Martin for their honeymoon, they will reside in their home in Maumee.
